In the Garden

A few snippets of floral colour taken this morning before the sun disappears again!
Gorgeous tulips

Sweet bluebells

Beautiful apple blossom

And I gave in and bought some runner bean plants from the garden centre, despite deciding not to do any veg this year.  If we are still here in a few months then at least there'll be something fresh from the garden.  I  wanted a few courgette plants too, but tried 3 places with no luck.  It's quite late for sowing seed, but hopefully they should catch up.

Bye for now

  1. The tulips are gorgeous. I think that they are seriously underrated. People don't realise what a huge variety of tulips out there. The red and white one has to be my favourite. Do you know the name of it?

    1. I think that one is called Flaming Parrot. The parrot ones are very dramatic but they tend to wear themselves out after a year or two! I like the tall slim ones best. They seem more elegant :)

  2. Such beautiful pictures of those stunning tulips! Love the one with the impressionist background, and the one that looks like raspberry ripple ice cream. The apple blossom is just gorgeous isn't it?
    Wishing you a happy Sunday.

  6. So beautiful. The tulips are such a welcome sight now. I'm going a bit mad with veges this year and experimenting with planting them amongst the flowers. I've just put my potatoes in, I know a bit late, but I think everything is about 5 weeks behind. Have a great week. Chel x

  15. I love your photos - the apple blossom is my favourite. You must be feeling a bit unsettled not knowing when you will move - sort of transitional? I hope it all comes together for you xx

  17. Gorgeous spring flowers. That first tulip is beautiful with the sun shining through! I just adore bluebells too, we don't get them much at all over here.
The apple blossom is looking just dreamy too!

  18. Lovely sunny pictures - I have a bit of a thing about tulips - shame they don't seem to thrive like daffodils and come back year after year.

  21. You've got some stunning tulips, the parrot one reminds me of raspberry ripple ice cream. Your courgettes should be ok being sown now, I've only just sown mine too. They grow at quite a pace once they've germinated and shouldn't be planted out until the risk of frost has gone anyway.

  24. Gorgeous tulips, they are just so beautiful and varied - wonderful photography too!
The courgettes grow pretty quickly, I sowed some a week or two ago and they are pretty sturdy already. I might have to buy some beans too as I've only got 6 out of 24 up so far - just not warm enough.Usually get 20 odd!
