Garden Snippets

It looks like summer is finally here.  Time to dig out the Pimm's  I think!
The garden is blooming at the moment, despite having a break from veg growing, there's plenty of colour from the poppies that have gone mad this year, along with the honeysuckle that's covering the arches.

I left some leeks to run to seed and they're starting to flower now.

The philladelphus has the most amazing scent, quite intoxicating!

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you still manage to follow my blog ok.  I did look into Bloglovin as many of you seem to have added it, but decided to keep things simple.  I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but I'm happy checking on the dashboard for blog updates.
I thought about dividing my sidebar list into different types of blogs, like gardening, quilting, crochet etc but so many are a mixture that I ruled that out.  With quite a few bloggers sadly giving up and new ones being discovered all the time it's easier to just have one list on my dashboard.
Have a good weekend

  1. Your garden is lush, lush, lush Debbie! Gorgeous piccies :) Ref Bloglovin', I joined up just in case everything disappeared on July 1st. Had a bit of a panic on when I was hearing how things would be changing and got really confused by it all. Of course nothing really altered for me, as (like you) I just log into the dashboard for updates anyway. I suppose it's a good idea to have a back-up though. Enjoy enjoy this lovely weather, and the Pimms ;) x

  3. Your garden is looking lovely - I've just popped outside and taken some photos of mine, before we go on holiday. Not sure I'll get time to do anything with them though. It's so nice to see the garden finally so colourful after such a cold, wet start to the year.
I agree with you - I just log on to the dashboard - anything more complicated and I get confused!!
Enjoy your Pimms in the sunshine.

  6. Are the poppies self seeded? - We have exactly the same poppy popping up (is that how they get their name I wonder?) all over the plot and garden. Also some pretty single purplish ones with black centres.

    1. Yes, I don't remember where they came from, but they self seed everywhere. They are lovely, but would be even nicer in purple! I'm going to save the seed this year for our next place.

  9. I haven't joined bloglovin' either and I haven't noticed a difference so far. I love self-seeded poppies you never know where or what colour I have all sorts of colours now, shame they don't last a bit longer. I shall miss seeing your lovely garden when you finally move.

  13. I have allways not joined bloglovin.

Your Poppies are so big! In this year I have only some little plants, but I also have no place for them, so they go away.

  16. Your garden is looking fantastic! As I write I have just discovered the strong scent of jasmine is filling the air, that's another flower that has just started flowering in the garden...everything is so late this year! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, it looks like it's going to be a scorcher! Chel x
