A Little Late Summer Colour

Hello, I hope you're enjoying the lovely sunshine in this curious summer/autumn that can't make up it's mind which way to go!
A few images from my garden this week

We're inundated with apples at the moment.  Every day the grass is covered in them and they need raking up before the wasps find them

I saw these three bunnies this morning enjoying a tasty breakfast.  I even saw one peering into the box to see if the apples were any better!

And this is why it's almost impossible to keep them out of the garden if they're determined to get in.  This hole near the fence has been filled in countless times, but they dig it out again every time, flinging the soil further and further as if to make a point.
Oh well, they are fun to watch!

Bye for now

  5. Some lovely photos.

I think to keep the bunnies away you would need to install a proper bunny fence. Part of the chicken wire is buried into the soil to avoid tunnelling

    1. Yes, we did that round the veg plot and it has worked well, but I wish we'd done the whole garden instead. Was too expensive at the time, but I've always regretted it. xx

  8. A lovely glimpse of your garden at this time of year, Debbie. It's great to see the bees still out foraging on the last flowers of the year. We have rabbits everywhere, too and have also given up trying to keep them out!

  11. Oh no! I have just discovered we have rabbits too. Although I've long suspected it. Burrows.. and whole lettuces nipped off at ground level.. but, today has been such a gloriously warm day.

  17. Such a magnificent pictures of the Cosmeas, but I am really in love with your bunnies. They look so cute eating the apples under the tree but I suppose the apples are not the only thing they eat in your garden, I know they can be a nuisance. Nevertheless, it is fun to look at.

  18. Stunning photos of your Autumnal garden Debbie. Just love those bunnies. We have some cheeky squirrels and a couple of sly old foxes popping in every so often. Some might disagree but we love seeing them.

  19. Your garden is just so beautiful. The bunnies here did a lot of damage to my garden but we just have a wooden fence so it's easy to get through. Those apples look like quite the breakfast feast.
