Still Here!

Wow!  Has it been that long since my last post?  I don't know where the time goes to these days.
Things are a bit quiet round here at the moment to be honest, so I probably won't be posting as much as before for a while.
There's been some brilliant thunderstorms lately and the skies this morning were looking very dramatic.

The wind has seen to the last of the apples thankfully.  It's been a daily job clearing them up.
A lot of the trees are still to turn colour, but this one is looking radiant at the moment.

Before the weather turned wild I spent some time tidying the plants in the greenhouse and was surprised to find the streptocarpus leaf cuttings I took a few weeks ago had all taken.  I've never done any before and had pushed them to the back of the shelf and forgotten about them only to find lots of little baby plants ready to pot up.  I'll definitely do some more next year, though a bigger greenhouse would be good :)

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope it's not too stormy where you are.

  1. Hi Debbie
Nice to see you blogging again. What beautiful pictures, your scenery and sky shots are amazing. We too had an incredible thunderstorm the other day, it woke everybody up and there were quite a few tired little ones at my nursery the next day.
I think my favourite trees at the moment are all the Acers, they just look stunning, don't they ?

  3. Beautiful, but menacing skies. It's surprisingly bright and sunny today. The calm before the storm perhaps?! Fantastic shots Debbie, lovely to receive an update from you x

  6. Plenty of showers here, the leaves are turning but rain and wind then taking their toll. Dead impressed with the streptocarpus cuttings, I will have to try that.

  8. Not sure I know what a streptocarcus is - sounds a bit like a medical complaint - but whatever they are they are looking good.

  9. Windy and rainy here, which I am pleased about as the leaves are making their way down to the park so no sweeping for me! Well done on the leaf cuttings, I love it when a surprise is waiting in the greenhouse. Batten down the hatches and cosy up until the storm blows over. xx
