New Quilt

Hello!  Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last post.  I really enjoyed sewing again after a bit of a lull this year, so as soon as it was finished the next quilt was being planned.  The last few have been quite pale, so for a change I pulled out some of my darker fabrics and am going to make lots of star blocks, with lighter fabrics for the background.  I'm loving this first one already and can't wait to get going with the rest.  I found a good tutorial Here with all the cutting sizes, very handy!

Right!  Better get cutting.

  9. Wow I'm amazed how straight your cutting is!! Even with a rotary cutter and a ruler, it still goes wonky on me. Love the colours of the new quilt.

  11. I've just re-read the tutorial for the block - it wouldn't load yesterday - it's a very clever and a tempting method - maybe you've inspired me to start another quilt - we'll see. I've just finished my cross stitch, I have a few bears to create for Christmas and I've always got some socks on the needles so......

    1. Yes it's lovely and clear. The flying geese bits are a bit fiddly but it saves "wasting" lots of triangles. You sound busy, your bears are amazing. I never had the patience for things like that!
