Stars Quilt Top Finished

Quilt top is finished at last!  Another one to add to my pile to be quilted.  No excuses now I've got my new machine.  Just need to find something to back them with.

I love it now it's done, it's got an autumn, country feel to it.  One for the cooler months I think.

I couldn't resist taking some shots of the apple blossom.  Such a lovely sight every year, so pretty and fresh.

As are the cowslips in the wild garden.  Mostly the traditional yellow, but with a sprinkling of red and orange, all slightly different.

Shame about the weather yesterday, but it's looking good for our barbeque later, finger's crossed!

Bye for now

  2. Apple blossom is as beautiful as any ornamental tree and has the added bonus of fruit. The cowslip is an unusual colour - is it a cross.

    1. Probably, as there used to be some red primulas nearby, but I think they can occur naturally too.

  3. Beautiful quilt. It's almost like one of those optical illusion pictures - the more you look at it, the more shapes you see. Really well done. x

  15. I love your quilt as the colours are so scrappy and either autmn or springlike (I can't make up my mind). I use wide backings for my larger quilts, as at least you don't have to piece them.
Love those cowslips as I've never seen them in anything other than yellow. Take care.

  20. Hello Debbie, thanks for the visit :)

These photos are so pretty, and I can't wait to have some blossom trees around here. Winter was tough this year, and Spring is kind of late :(

The quilt is as beautiful as the flowers.
