Busy!

Well, life round here seems to go from  "not much happening" to  "too much to do".  The house moving plans are finally back on which means a huge amount of tidying and cleaning before we think about letting anyone see the place.  The garden has been having a massive trim and I've been working my way round the house, cleaning paintwork, moving furniture and generally getting rid of heaps of  "stuff" in an effort to make it look a bit more presentable.  There's still plenty to do, but I'm in need of a break today, with the heat making it very uncomfortable work.

I found time to snap some garden pics and some of my streptocarpus which are filling the greenhouse with colour at the moment.

Apologies if  I'm not around blogland as much as I'd like for a while.  I'm trying to get the crochet blanket finished,  doing a few joining rows here and there, so hopefully I'll be able to show you soon.  In the meantime,
Thank you for stopping by and take care.

  2. Your garden is looking glorious and I don't know how you'll leave it behind. We moved recently and although it was our block was too steep, I do so miss all my lovely flowers, shrubs and trees. As you may tell, I'm not enjoying having moved, though it became a necessity. Love to see your crochet when finished. Take care and don't over do it

  3. Good luck with the house move...and every time I see pics of your beautiful garden, I am completely envious (in a nice way!) - it really is just lovely.
Happy weekend & enjoy the sunshine... the rain due on Sat should cool things down and give the gardens a good soak too.

  4. Beautiful collection of Streptocarpus in your greenhouse. They are a riot of colour. Here it is very hot too, that's why I am sitting in the shade with my ipad instead of working in the garden. Good luck with selling your house.

  6. Moving house is rather stressful!! You'll need to take plenty of crochet-breaks to help you through.

    1. Yes, I do have some fuchsias. My favourites are the ones I've trained into mini standards. They're like little ballerinas!

    1. These were taken with my Nikon D70s and my favourite 50mm lens, though I often use a 60mm macro one for close ups.

  19. Hello!
If I could I'd move from my house every 3 years or so, I love moving to a new place, but I don't like to 'moving' itself, it can be stressful..
But I have to tell you, your garden, your flowers are incredibly beautiful, you definitely have a 'green thumb'. Congratulations!

  26. Dear Debbie, how exciting that your house moving plans are back on! But I know from selling our first house, that it is a lot of work to get a house ready to be presentable and show its best side to potential buyers.
The photos from your garden flowers are just amazing! I especially love the hollyhocks and the dahlias. Your streptocarpus collection is so nice as well. I didn't know that they come in that many colors.
    Warm regards,
    Christina
