Winchester Cathedral Flower Festival

No gardens in this post, but still on a flowery theme, a few weeks ago saw Winchester Cathedral transformed with dozens of stunning displays.  There were seemingly thousands of visitors the day I visited, so it was tricky to take pictures without loads of heads in the way, but I've picked out a few.

I hope that added a bit of cheer to this grey day.  I'm sure it's raining sideways out there!

  8. A wonderful display, I remember you visiting here before. I'm surprised it was 2 years ago now! It looks so different this time but equally as beautiful. Sarah x

  9. What stunning flower arrangements, I was really taken with the scale of the first one, loved the Eremurus flowers. But they were all fabulous. The one with the Delphiniums and Eremurus wow. What a treat to be able to see that, thanks for posting

  10. Oh, what a feast for the eyes and senses. That must be one of the most stunning displays of flowers I've ever seen. I'm sure I'd have had to stay for hours. Thanks Debbie. Take care.

  12. Absolutely beautiful! I would love to see these, what skill in putting the displays together. It's like two of my favourite things combined - cathedrals that I love to explore and gorgeous flowers. The displays look very quirky around some of the memorials.

    1. Hello, thanks for dropping in. It was amazing. There was so much more but my photos were too full of people! Did you spot Jane Austen's memorial? (the one with all the roses). I did a similar post 2 years ago and think the displays were even better then.

  13. Oh my! How beautiful! I love the blue hydrangeas inside the font. DO they do this every year? I bet the church is filled with visitors whenever this floral celebration begins!
